He is the CEO and Cofounder of AI EdTech startup, Kwame AI and a Postdoctoral Researcher at ETH Zurich. He was a Visiting Researcher at the University of Cambridge and an Applied Scientist at Amazon (Alexa AI). He has a BA in Computer Science and an MS in Computer Engineering from Dartmouth College, and a PhD in Applied Machine Learning from ETH Zurich.

Judith Uchidiuno is an Assistant Professor at Georgia Institute of Technology’s School of Interactive Computing. She designs culturally informed STEM education technologies, and increases access to computer science education in sustainable ways for students from low income and underserved communities. Her research has contributed to the design of a tablet-based learning system used to supplement formal education by over 500 students in rural Tanzania, programmable video games codesigned with children to increase computational thinking and coding skills among low income and marginalized youth in the United States, co-design of a state-wide Artificial Intelligence middle school curriculum, and active collaboration with several schools and organizations.

William Edor is a problem solver with skills in the art and science of designing software systems. His goal is to always create software that is a delight to use. This means addressing complex problems in user experience, security, performance and many essential fields that contribute to that outcome. Naafi Dasana Ibrahim is a third-year computer science student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). His interests mainly revolve around building AI technologies, with a particular focus on Natural Language Processing (NLP), specifically in Machine Translation and Speech Recognition. Nana Sam is an active participant in the NSMQ AI project while pursuing his final year in Electrical/Electronic Engineering at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. With a keen interest in AI, his focus lies in computer vision and natural language processing. Nana has also interned at Minohealth AI Lab, where he made significant contributions to the development of a chest disease classification system. Committed to the advancement of AI technology, Nana aspires to leverage his skills in the rapidly evolving field of AI technology to address the unique challenges faced by the African community.

Victor Kumbol is a pharmacist pursuing a PhD in Medical Neurosciences at Charité, Berlin recognized on the 2023 Forbes 30 Under 30. He is the COO and Cofounder of AI EdTech startup, Kwame AI. As an innovator, Victor is passionate about leveraging technology to impact African society and builds open labware for research. He has a BPharm and MPhil in Pharmacology from KNUST, Ghana.

Cecil Senna Nutakor is a leading authority on the use of technology for self-paced education in Ghana. With over sixteen years experience in deploying technology innovation solutions. Founder & CEO of eCampus LLC. Cecil developed and lectured an ICT certificate program at two universities in Ghana. He is also a corporate training consultant in technology. With Computer Science background, he also holds a BSc/MBA in Entrepreneurship and Global Business Sustainability, a post graduate diploma in Exponential Technologies from Singularity University at NASA Research Park, Silicon Valley and Finalist of New Venture Competition 2020 at Harvard Business School in Boston.

Timothy Kotin is the Co-Founder and CEO of Superfluid Labs, a data analytics firm specializing in serving businesses in emerging markets. Superfluid Labs received recognition from the London Stock Exchange Group as one of the 2019 Companies to Inspire Africa and from Bloomberg in 2020. Previously, Timothy worked as a Research Scientist at IBM and provided consultancy services through Dalberg to notable public and private sector organizations. He holds a degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Harvard University and an MPhil. in Engineering for Sustainable Development from the University of Cambridge, where he was a Gates Cambridge Scholar.

Deborah .D. Kanubala is the co-organizer for the WiMLDS Accra-Ghana chapter and the co-founder of WPSYG. She is currently enrolled in her Ph.D. studies at Saarland University, Germany. Prior to this, she worked as an NLP Engineer at Proto and also lectured at Academic City University. Ms. Kanubala is a recipient of several grants and scholarships including the Mastercard Foundation Scholar grant, Alumnode Project grant, and many more. She was voted among the 100 Most Influential People ( STEM Category) in 2019. Her research interest is in designing fair machine learning algorithms, causality, explainability, and AI ethics.

Dr. Thomas Amatey Tagoe is a Neuroscientist, Science Communicator and Co-founder of G.H.Scientific, an organisation focused on building capacity in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) through public engagement and outreach activities.
